Ashton Heckmann
Ashton HeckmannMS, NCC
Ashton empowers individuals to overcome personal obstacles in order to live more fully. She is especially passionate about walking along-side teens, adolescents, and adults as they learn effective ways to manage stress, gain emotional control, and strengthen important relationships.

She earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona and her Bachelor’s degree from Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky. Ashton is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and is working towards her Licensure in Professional Counseling (LPC) and a Mental Health Service Provider (MHSP) designation in the state of Tennessee.

She has extensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) which has deeply influenced her counseling practice and how she approaches her understanding of each person she helps. Ashton understands that life is painful and yet life can be joyful; even in the deepest suffering, there is meaning and significance.

Ashton was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky then lived in Scottsdale, Arizona just long enough to fall in love with the amazing weather and those notorious sunsets. When she is not serving others through counseling, you can find her with a large coffee and a good book in hand. She also enjoys cooking, Netflix, free 2-day shipping, and spending time with family.

“By giving yourself, you find yourself.”
